I usually do not blazon standards; I only describe their structure, since the coat of arms, the badge, and the crest they normally bear are already known as those of the armiger. However, in this case I have blazoned the standard with details from the hoist to the fly. The hoist is the part attached to the mast, and the fly is the part that waves freely and in this case ends in a swallow-tail, although this is an artistic detail I have not blazoned. For the specification of this blazon I use brackets for each of the parts, for example, the blazon of the arms, the blazon of the badge, or the blazon of the crest. In this case I have repeated the blazon of the second occurrence of the badge, but I could have avoided it by referring back to the first. It is unusual to find such a detailed specification of a standard.
