In Spanish heraldry, there are three terms for supporters: «sostenes» for objects or plants, «tenantes» for human figures, and «soportes» for animal forms. The following applies to sostenes, tenantes, and soportes. Unlike other heraldic traditions such as English heraldry, in Spanish heraldry there are no rules for the use of supporters; their use is at the armiger's discretion, without specific restrictions. Supporters are not reserved only for nobility; their use is free for all.

In the words of [Cadenas y Vicent, V. de; 1975; page 173] «there is no rule that determines the use of tenantes, soportes, and sostenes».

This is the coat of arms of the Universidad Peñafort of Mexico. It is a Law university and its name came from Raymond of Penyafort (XIII century) who compiled the Decretals of Gregory IX, which mostly remained in use until 1917, and that is why it is the patron saint of lawyers. The symbols Raymond of Penyafort are a key and a book. This coat of arms has been designed and emblazoned by me.

I created this coat of arms of an socioecomic entity with: the shape rounded; its two fields was illuminated with color Azur and metal Or; the figures was illuminated with metals Or and Argent and color Sable; the angel is outlined in color Sable; the heads of the horses are outlined from the metal of the field; a motto writen in Sable over an scroll illuminated with Or outlined in color Sable; and the whole picture has a crystalline finish.
