Coat of arms of Ilmo. Sr. D. Manuel Novo Dabrio, designed by him and me and emblazoned by me. This composition shows the coat of arms alongside the full «chinapieria», the hand-drawn diapering pattern used to decorate the mantling. This diapering is hand-drawn and non-repetitive, each flower-like motif slightly different from the next. The image overlays the mantling onto the original drawing to show how the pattern was applied to it.

Instead of placing the Sacred Heart as an inescutcheon, as was initially considered, which would have covered parts of an already complex shield and, depending on heraldic traditions, inescutcheons can be a source of debate, it was placed in the crest, in a prominent position above the wreath, presiding over the whole achievement.
